Two and half thousand years ago, a man called Thespis stepped out of a ritual song and started singing back to the chorus. This was the first time dialogue had been used, it made a chant into a performance, and singers into characters. Theatre was born.
This Friday, we will be looking at Ancient Athenian theatre with our workshop for home educated children, this is the older group. We have an expert in Ancient Greece and Rome coming from Durham University to answer any questions that come up.
This is definitely not one to miss!
Hope to see you on Friday.
